Kia soul shaking at idle
Seems like a low idle but there is no way to manually adjust the idle on these cars. When the AC is off and the car is at idle, the dash guage shows 750 RPM but my scanner shows about 680. When the AC kicks on, the idle jumps up to about 850-900 (per the scanner) and the shakes go away. I would not call it a vibration as it is too smooth to be annoying. The surging you (OP) speak of, might be the transmission "shifting" up a gear, as you gently coast to a stop.Sep 8, 2019 · An engine misfire is the most common cause of a shaking idle, and as the engine stumbles and misfires, it should be noticeable on the tachometer as a drop in RPM.
