Weapons simply broke too quickly, and things got even sillier in master mode. Increase durability by, say, 50% and the whole experience would have felt much smoother while still requiring pretty frequent replacement.

Oct 17, 2020 · The thing that's nice about BotW's durability system is that it's resource management in a way that's pretty unobtrusive, especially in comparison to other games. Weapons are disposable in a way where I don't have to waste time asking myself annoying questions that I typically ask myself in ARPGs. I know they say that breakable weapons allow you experiment more, but because of it I usually just stuck with the master sword since it regenerated. When I had infinite durability I just messed around with different weapons since I wasn't worried about them breaking.
