By the time you finish origins with AW/BM, you are basically overpowered. In Awakening, you start overpowered and just get more overpowered. But I think your question was about stats. Put like, 20 in Will, 61 in magic (61 is the minimum magic you need to get all the spells), and then the rest in Constitution.In the mage section get everything there, the last one also increases spell power. I was under the impression that as soon as you did the quest for it and then spent your first point in it you could wear heavy armor as a mage. Main= 18 elf mage, Arcane Warrior. Wynne= Support/ Arcane Warrior she is set for helping the party and I have her in full Armor and sword and shield she is pretty GOOD. Leliana= Archer/ Ranger her summons make great blood sacrifes. Morrigan= Shapshifter/ Blood mage/ she does HEAVY damage with blizzard and blood Magic along with crushing prison.
